This is such a lovely cottage! Quaint, yet stylish, comfortable and very clean. It has all the comforts of home, plus so many helpful brochures, maps and photos that are helpful resources if you are new to the area. Nothing better than sitting on the front porch and enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning, the beautiful landscape and bird watching. It's so peaceful, private and quiet. I highly recommend!!
Every time I visit, I wish I could just move in permanently. It really is an amazing place, made so by Elva's attention to detail and true, Southern hospitality! If I could give it ten stars, I would!
Elvas cedar cottage is very beautiful and well equip-ted. Very peaceful place to stay and to enjoy beauty of nature. Loved it.
The cottage is located on about 500 acres of private land, which is criss-crossed with nature and hiking trails. But if you are feeling lazy, you can just fire up the b-b-q and laze around on the deck or in the large yard, beautifully planted with a wide variety of flowers.
I have been fortunate to visit on several occasions with friends and it is the perfect location for a group retreat or couple's weekend away from it all. The beauty of the community is only matched by the hospitality at the cabin. A must visit!
Great place to stay, clean and roomy. Great family vacation. Lots to do and see in area. I highly recommend the cottage if you are staying in the area. Close to Buffalo River, caves, hiking etc.
Elva's Cedar Cottage is one of the most gorgeous holiday cottages I have ever visited. The cottage itself is very roomy, with a large and well-stocked kitchen and is filled with antiques and absolutely amazing photographs of local scenes, taken by Elva herself.
The cottage is also incredibly clean and stands out with regards to care taken over furnishings and comfort. Elva frequently leaves out fresh wild-flowers and home-made cookies, making your stay that much more homey. She also knows the area really well and has always been really helpful with advice - she's helped us steer clear of some major dining catastrophes!
